The Emperor and the Bandit|Haven, Ilyamen

[Kender Bard]

"There it is," Anarchy remarked, spotting the location of their meeting point. It looked like a horrid dive of a tavern and she shuddered. "What a wretched place. I'm actually glad it won't be us in there."

[Devon]

"I've made some of my best deals in places like these," Saul told her. "Of course I wasn't an Emperor then, just a lowly..crafty Clear," he laughed. "Come we'll go back to our inn and I'll find a way to keep you busy until Abel brings the Bandit."

Abel waited patiently for Pip to enter, occasionally leaning over and whispering something into his lady's ear to make it seem like they were naturally together.

[Kender Bard]

The lady at least made an admirable effort to look her part. She tittered and gave coy glances to Abel. It helped that she found him comely and some of her flirting was genuine attraction.

A little bit past the appointed time, a man came in and sat down at their table. He was a large man, burly, bearded and looked like a great thug. He smiled at the pair, gap-toothed. "Lord and Lady Eclipse?"

[Devon]

"Lord of Bandits I presume," Abel replied. "Lady Eclipse..get our guest a drink," he told her.

[Kender Bard]

The lady bowed her head and slipped away to approach the bar, looking at everything in disgust as she did.

The bandit's eyes lingered on her backside before turning his gaze to Abel. "What is it that you want with me?" he asked bluntly.

[Devon]

"I've heard about your operation, I think it could use more guidance and I'd like to help you do just that," Abel told him. "Basically I'm interested in helping you cause a little more chaos."

[Kender Bard]

The man gave a low chuckle. "What makes you think I'm not plenty organized already?" he asked, rubbing his chin. "I don't need help from nobodies that appear out of nowhere. You're wasting my time."

[Devon]

"This nobody has plenty of influence that could be added to your resources," Abel said calmly. Saul had instructed Abel that in case he needed more leverage in their talk, the Wind would be allowed to show off a Morilanta crest. Pulling his cloak back slightly he showed off the gold emblem for a brief second.

[Kender Bard]

"I figured you were from Morilanta," the bandit replied with a smirk. "So why don't you drop the cute name and tell me who you really are.... Or give me enough of a hint to care. Any fool with enough coin scraped together can probably get that stitched on his ass."

[Devon]

"You'd think that," Abel said with a smirk. "We guard our emblem very well," he told the Lord of Bandits. "I thought I gave you enough of a clue about our identity by calling ourselves the Lord and Lady Eclipse."

[Kender Bard]

"I know that you're from Morilanta," the bandit said. "And that you have the means and money to get out here on short notice. All right... That interests me a little more. But I'm still not sure where we stand on things. What would I get from you?"

[Devon]

"If you want to continue this conversation, I suggest we go to my inn room," Abel said looking around. "I have to be sure though, are you Lord Pip?" he asked

[Kender Bard]

The man smiled. "Are you really Lord Eclipse?" he asked. He was beginning to doubt so.

[Devon]

"For the moment I am his voice," Abel answered calmly. "It is just a precaution to make sure you're not here to cause any trouble. He does really wish to do business with you...if you are Lord Pip."

[Kender Bard]

The bandit smirked and stood from his seat. "I guess that makes me Lord Pip's voice too. Don't worry though... He's listening in on everything we say. So you might as well treat me like the real deal. I think your lord and mine think rather alike... No doubt that will work in your favor."
