"I suppose I'll have to!" Teselia exclaimed, wide-eyed.

"Where's Streak?" Winger asked, freeing himself from his brother's embrace. "And Tender?"

"Your twin is at a tavern," Teselia said with a disapproving cluck. "Tender is sleeping. Should I go wake her?"

Winger shook his head. "Don't bother. Rub it in their faces tomorrow."

Teck made his way over to look at the ring and whistled. "You sure went for fancy, didn't you Winger?"

"No expense spared for my lady," Winger declared proudly.

Tender made her way over to them now as well, hugging them both. "You two will have a long, happy marriage I'm sure."

"I'm sure we will," Teardrop replied, hugging Tender and smiling lovingly at Winger. "You're the first people we've told so far. We just couldn't wait to share the good news with you."

"Who's next?" Teselia asked.

"Teadrop's family," Winger replied.

"Well go tell them," Teselia urged. "They deserve to know the news too! We'll see about scrounging up some wine to celebrate with when you get back."

Winger chuckled, kissed his sister on the cheek, and took Teardrop's hand again. "If you're ready."

Teardrop grinned. "I'm ready. Come on, I can't wait to tell them this. They're going to be thrilled."

Winger smiled, nodded, bid his family farewell and headed back to the Calder residence. Laura was starting to nod off a little in her chair, jumping slightly when she heard the door open.

Saph, also waiting up for his daughter, had already drifted off and was too deeply asleep to hear the door. But not so deeply that he didn't wake up when Teardrop ran into the room. "Have a nice night, dear heart?"

"I had the most wonderful night," Teardrop replied with a happy laugh. "Look!" She held out the hand with her new ring.

Laura's eyes widened and she hopped out of her chair with an excited, delighted cry as she hugged Teardrop tightly. "Oh Tear that's wonderful news!!"
