By the time he began reading over the rituals, Die was practically salivating. Ever since word of what the priests had wrought with their ritual on Naruta had reached him, he'd longed to find some record of the ritual for his own use. Demon lore fascinated him, and he'd put together quite a collection of it. The accounts of the demons that had been loosed on Naruta were among his most prized records. Not just demon sightings, but sightings barely a decade old.
Or, perhaps, it'll merely call winged beasts up from the pits of hell again....
"One can only hope," Die murmured as he scanned the pages. Yes, this was exactly the sort of thing he'd been hoping to find one day, and now it had fallen right into his lap.
Hmm...if Erif's power is necessary for the ritual, I wonder if a Fire can do a scaled-down version first as a test. May be a means to bringing forth a single demon.
He tapped a finger lightly against the surface of his desk and then took up a quill and turned back to Bastion's entries. On the page where the former high priest had speculated about the rituals, Die added his own note.
Well, I think it's time to grant the thief his reward. He was, after all, very pleased. Die sent an acolyte to the Thuothans to request the thief be brought to his sanctum and settled in to read over the rituals more while he waited.

Fascinating! If one really wanted to try on accursed ground, it might still be possible. Of the demons who were set loose before the Sinking, some made homes on this land. The most obvious spot is in Khelek. Sadly, it's in the capitol and the King, a former countryman, has made his feelings on Morilanta clear. That aside, since he and his closest compatriots are NOT of the largely ignorant Narutan people, I imagine steps were taken afterward to cleanse the area. A pity, that. This would still be a good option if one wanted to send a small group on a suicide mission and possibly trigger a war in the process. Good times.
There is mention of a temple of sorts that was erected somewhere in Ilyamen (or was it a brothel?) that was also a home to some demon or other. Some meddling knights (must have been Caelium) or somesuch are said to have destroyed it, but there's a very good chance that's all they did. The site might still be tainted enough to suffice if it could be located. If information isn't available in Ilyamen, approach Caelium under the pretense of priests wishing to cleanse the spot and ask to speak to whatever knights were involved to find out the location.
