Schuldig had little use for Grey Day, even if it was one of Soahc's holy days. He preferred to do things as they pleased him, and as one of the Lustful, having sex pleased him more than not having it. And he certainly had no inclination to plan to not indulge on any given day. His reluctance to participate in the winter holiday was just one of his failings as a priest, but since he'd more or less jumped into the deep end of His Madness' priesthood with both feet (and tied to a rock), he figured it was one he could afford.
It was a little different this year. This year, Harmony had left the nest on a Force Quest (a respectable way of saying "wandering around aimlessly for a while to find what fits"). Schuldig missed her, though it wasn't really pulling his mood down. With his range, he had no trouble reaching out to brush his daughter's mind when the urge struck, which helped. But Filly, he knew, was missing her even more. Filly wasn't Efil, but she still had more maternal instinct than what Schuldig considered healthy, still wanted children, had missed out on really raising Harmony, and now Harmony was gone.
So, instead of sleeping through Grey Day or just ignoring it altogether while being amused at Locket's disapproval, he decided to actually participate. Not for Soahc's sake, but for his wife's. That was why, instead of sleeping in like he really wanted to, he only lingered in bed past breakfast. He got up, got dressed, and went to join Filly in her workroom. He was still technically a healer, and he could keep his wife company today.
"Morning," he said, stifling a yawn as he entered. "Happy non-fucking Grey Day."
