Zevran eyed the job board thoughtfully as he sipped a glass of good white wine one of his fellow mercs had acquired as a job bonus. "Anyone want to partner up for a job or two?" he called over his shoulder.

One of the newer recruits practically bounces up to the board, a slim young man with a blond ponytail that seems to have given up the fight somewhere along the way. "I am! If you don't mind it being my first job."

Rysa eyed the new merc and decided that if he was going to act like an overeager puppy on his first job, Zevran might need an extra pair of eyes on him.

"I'm up for it," she said as she walked toward the board. "What job did you have in mind?"

"First times are my speciality," Zevran laughed with a teasing wink. "And ah, we are to be a threesome then? Even better." He nodded towards the job board. "I thought we might take these two jobs. See, an escort to Ronduin and then hunting a thief in Ronduin. It makes sense to take them both, no?"

The young man grins Ronduin suits him fine, then again, anywhere would. "Sounds good to me, by the way, I'm Jozef."

[Darastrix]

"Rysa," she said with a nod at Jozef. "Decent plan. And I've got a brother living in Ronduin that I wouldn't mind paying a visit to while we're there. Haven't seen him in a few years. Last I heard, he was working as a healer."

"Zevran, but my friends call me Zev," Zevran replied.

"What friends?!" someone else called, laughing.

"I'd be hurt if you weren't screaming my name to the forces just the other night, Morrigan," Zevran called back. He grinned at Rysa and remarked, "I'm sure we can make the time. Is your brother as handsome as you are pretty?"

Jozef gives Zevran a bit of an odd look, but decides to examine the jobs he'd pointed out rather than say anything.

"Nivor's a dog. Keep your mind on the job, Zev," Rysa told him with a roll of her eyes. As far as she was concerned, Zevran could entertain himself on the trip with his left hand.

"Oh, do not worry, I assure you I'm quite good at multi-tasking," Zevran replied with a laugh. "But if you insist, very well, we shall talk only of work."

"That won't last long," remarked Acqua from where she was sitting with Amaro, having finally come home for a visit.

"Slander and lies!" mock gasped Zevran, clutching his heart in faked pain. "Such wounds your words leave, kitten."

Acqua just rolled her eyes, grinning, and returned to her conversation with her brother.

Jozef looks between the two with half a smile, finding Zevran quite amusing. "So, when will we be leaving then?"

"I can leave today if we need to," Rysa said, stepping close to the board to peer at the two jobs. Hm, a Beloved Knight. "Is the man we're going to be escorting here in Talen'sul or will we be going to Anarlina to meet him first?"

"Anarlina," Zevran replied. "We will pick him up on our way out of the mountains. Let's take the rest of the day to check our supplies and buy anything we might need, get a good night's sleep, then leave a couple of candlemarks after dawn, shall we?"

Josef agrees, exuberantly, and heads off to get ready.
