Acqua couldn't help tensing slightly as she and Amaro entered Reave. She didn't dislike Clears, exactly, but she wasn't fond of them either. It beats freezing in Khelek. Maybe.
"First thing to do is see about finding our contact," Amaro remarked quietly to Acqua. "We'll see if he has anything new to add to what we already know. Then you can play tourist and check out the crypt. Looking foolish and unimportant shouldn't be difficult for you."
Acqua made sure to punch Amaro hard in the ribs as the siblings consulted the contact infomation for their informant then set out to find his home. "He better be there," Acqua muttered.

The home was a small farm house outside the edges of Raynham. The individual who answered was an older man, his dark brown hair streaked with grey. He had on surprisingly nice clothing for a farmer though his muscled frame suggested he did at least work the farm. "Hello?" he greeted, puzzled. "Drayton here, can I help you"?"

"Oh, you're the mercenaries? Please, come in if you like." Drayton opened his door wider. "There's not a great deal more than I can tell you. I overheard some Taedeans talking outside the temple. Not priests, mind you. Our priests are a good lot. No, these are just zealous fanatics. I think they got thrown out of the temple in fact."

"Why would you assume that?" the farmer asked with a small frown. "I'm not sure if they're Clears or Elementals. I think there was four of them though I didn't get a good look. They were talking around the back of the temple and I didn't want to just go back there and confront them."

"Sensible," Acqua replied. "Well, that doesn't seem too many to handle. Can you tell us where the crypt they're intending to break into is? After that, we'll leave you to your work and go do our jobs." She gave him a small smile, hoping to soothe his reaction to Amaro's comment.

"Aye it's near Satich," Drayton said. "I'm not sure if you're familiar with the area so I can draw you a rough map if you need. I don't think it's a part of Satich itself or I might not need to worry about some preventative action after all." He seemed to like Acqua more; he addressed her directly.

Acqua chuckled at that and nodded. "Indeed, Satich looks after its self," she agreed. "Well, my brother and I have been to Satich, but not since I was a child. So if it's not too much trouble, that map would be helpful."

Drayton nodded and fetched a bit of parchment as well as a coal stick and managed to draw out a rough map with a large X marking where the crypt stood. "I hope this helps and I hope you manage to catch them."

"Well we'll certainly do our best," Acqua replied. "Thank you, we'll leave you in peace now. Have a good day."
Letting themselves out, Acqua and Amaro headed first to the market to restock on some supplies, with Pixie reappearing from whereever she'd wandered off to, then set out for the crypt, arriving just before sunset. "You look around, carefully, while I find a good spot to set up a camp. At least it's warm enough that not having a fire won't be unpleasent."
"Says you," Acqua muttered as she slipped off to do as she was told. Forces, I hate cold camps. Dried meat and water for dinner and only moonlight for light. Ugh. Grumbling mentally to Pixie, Acqua made her way towards the crypt, trying to form a mental map of the area around it and keeping a sharp eye out for any people.

They weren't the only ones down there.
There was a scuffling sound, like someone dragging their feet over a stone floor. Whoever it was dropped something that made a loud clang and they cursed, scrambling to pick it up and hurrying on past, not looking from side to side. They sported grey robes, like that of a Taedean.

Follow him, Acqua thought to Pixie, who darted after the person in the robes. Not for the first time, Acqua silently thanked the Forces for Pixie's gift. A stray or feral cat could go safely in places where a human risked standing out,
Pixie tracked the person in robes, while Acqua followed cautiously from a distance and let the cat be her eyes and ears.

The man did not speak but he did rush into another room and set his burden down--some kind of brass mini-brazier. There was markings on the floor made in chalk and he was carefully making preparations of the place. After a quick survey satisfied him, he heaved a sigh of relief and wiped the back of his forehead with his sleeve and began heading out of the crypt.

At a thought from Acqua, Pixie continued to trail after the man, hoping to see where he'd go after his preperations were made. Acqua, on the other hand, found a good spot to hide and wait for the man to pass by. She'd let Pixie continue the spying while she returned to Amaro once the man was safely past her hiding place.
~Yes. You go relax while I do all the work,~ Pixie mock grumbled.
I'll make it up to you, Acqua thought back with a grin. Besides, you've been as bored as I was.
~And this is fun,~ Pixie agreed. ~Stay out of sight now, Kit. The small ginger cat continued to stalk after the robed man.
