Libre glanced at Harmony again. "Thirty coins."

Harmony looked back at him and grinned widely.

"Wait... You're not supposed to grin," Libre said, sounding confused at this point.

[Darastrix]

Schuldig looked at Libre and snorted. "I was going to bid," he said to Filly, "but this is so much more amusing."

[Kender Bard]

"Can I take back?" Libre asked.

"No," Nalani replied cheerfully.

Kleio smiled. "Forty."

[Kender Bard]

"Sold!" Nalani declared.

Kleio smiled happily while Libre let out a sigh of relief.

[Kender Bard]

"Next up is-"

Nalani paused, looked at the card again, and frowned. She tossed the card on the stage and walked off. One of the stagehands, Bonner, stepped nervously out in front of the crowd and picked up the card. "Uh." He stared at it. He turned it upside down. Then he dropped it too. "Uh, this is a red haired guy, what's his name... Master I think? Anyway, he looks pretty good if you're a girl I guess, not that I would know. Place your bids and ogle him while I go drag our hostess back."

"Twenty coins," Filly bid. Maybe she'd get lucky and get a twofer. That could be fun.

Dreamwarp glanced down at Divria and wondered how many more entrants there were. "Thirty."

[Darastrix]

Master looked back toward the backstage area and shrugged. "Silly little pretty bird. Walking away from me now doesn't help anything." He walked to the edge of the stage and waved to Filly and Dreamwarp, grinning. "Come now, ladies, you can do better than that."

[Kender Bard]

"Thirty-five," Filly retorted.

"Forty," Dreamwarp countered.

Filly cast about--she was out of money now.

Locket smiled and handed her friend all of her coins.

"Thank you Locket," Filly answered warmly. "Ninety!"

"Meh, fuck that," Dreamwarp retorted.

[Kender Bard]

Bonner returned with Nalani and pushed her into the center of the stage again.

"Sold," Nalani snapped. "To whoever bid last, just, gah."

Filly clapped in delight. Two cute redhead boys for her!

Composure regained, Nalani cleared her throat and accepted the next card. "Next up is Morrigan, the Taedean priestess of Anarlina. Don't be fooled by her occupation, there's warmth and life in abundancy to be found here."

Dreamwarp grinned happily. "Ah, now we can begin the bargain shopping. Ten coins!"

[Darastrix]

"She's worth more than that," Zira muttered, crossing his arms.

"Then why don't you bid?" Schuldig asked.

Zira stared at him for a moment. "Be...cause I don't like women?"

Schuldig shrugged. "Suit yourself. Thirty!"

[Kender Bard]

Dreamwarp made an irritated sound and sank back into her seat.

On the stage, Morrigan tried not to grimace.

[Kender Bard]

"Sold!" Nalani announced.

With a crestfallen expression, Morrigan stepped down from the stage and reluctantly made her way to Schuldig.

"Next up is Brooke," Nalani announced. "A lady of the night in Maelstrom!"
