Drystan tilts his head a bit and grins, "Maybe I should find someone to show me around, you know anyone?"

His smile fades quickly though and he frowns distractedly "Of course, I do need to wait, see if the healer is all right..."

[Toyoll]

Qwynh giggled, "I-I'd be happy to show you around, but that would depend on w-whether or not I-I have any more priority deliveries..." Her ears dipped, "...I d-do hope that miss Epps recovers q-quickly. Th-This town needs all th-the healers it can get..." She brushed a stray lock of hair, "Th-those rats are t-terrifying..."

Drystan's ears lay back as he frowns, "They aren't normal, that's for sure. Has it been like this for long?" He fiddles with his tea, feeling guilty again.

"I-I don't know...Far too long." she said through a sigh. The lovely thing about being a Beast is that one was able to communicate on another, silent level, making them naturally empathetic. Qwynh touched her wing tip to Drystan's arm, silently encouraging him, "I-I'm sure she'll be fine."

Drystan's ears perk up as she touches his arm and he grins despite himself. "Nasty buggers...is anyone doing anything about them? If a whole city can't ward them off I hate to think what will happen..."

Qwynh shrugs (which was quite a feat for someone with massive wings for arms), "I'm not in town very often. S-so I'm not sure what is going on. Obviously, th-there are guards patrolling, but I don't know what they plan on doing, long t-term..." She sipped the last of her tea and put the cup down.

She flicked an ear, as if to brush away the heavy atmosphere, "S-so, do you have a place to spend the night? You may stay here i-if you wish. I can roost on the beams." the bat pointed to one of the many heavy wood beams that criss-crossed over them, "We can both visit miss Epps in the morning?"

Drystan perks up at that, "I don't actually, you really don't mind?" He glances up at the rafters and raises a brow, "Doesn't look all that comfortable...I wouldn't want to make you sleep up there." He decides against a comment about possibly sharing the bed, not really wanting to get kicked out.

Qwynh giggled, "N-no I wouldn't be sleeping on the beams!" The bat girl stood from her cushion, reached up with her foreclaws and hoisted herself off the ground. There, she swung her legs up and dug her hind claws into the wood. She then looked at Drystan from her new perch and grinned. "W-Worg was kind to me and made me close to my affinity. I-I can stay up here all night."

She let herself down, with only the smallest difficulty, "Th-though, I do wish I h-had more human limbs sometimes..." her eyes flicked to Drystan's feet, "In any case, you are still my guest and I'll not have you sleeping on the f-floor."

Eyes widening, Drystan watches Qwynh pull herself into the rafters and back down, a little jealous himself. " Well, I wouldn't mind the floor really, but if you insist I won't argue. And you can't tell me that hasn't come in handy at one point or another." He gestures toward the rafters.

Noticing her glance he smiles, "And if you don't mind me saying so, I think you're cute the way you are."

Qwynh felt her cheeks blush, though one couldn't see it under all her fur. "O-oh! I-It's definitely easier f-for take-offs and for f-finding a safe place to sleep on the road, s-so to speak." She clicked her claws on the floor bashfully.

Drystan grins widely at her reaction and downs his tea. Rolling his shoulders and stretching a little he barely manages to suppress a yawn, it had been a long night and it was starting to catch up to him.
