[Kender Bard]

Ward squirmed beneath Darin's onslaught. His lips moved to mumble the word 'Soahc' when his force was mentioned but otherwise remained mostly silent. Finally he whispered, "Mercs. Hired."

[Devon]

"Good we're finally playing ball," Darin lowered Ward back down onto the ground and started to straighten his robes out for him. "Now you seem like a smart man, so you wouldn't go and actually hire the men yourself. Who did you send to do it for you and where is he?"

[Kender Bard]

Ward tried to fuzzily remember his little 'secretary'. The name was eluding him. "I don't remember," he muttered. "Small man, nervous, twitchy sometimes. Competent though. Dunno where he is."

[Devon]

"Do you at least know where he went to hire those mercs?" Darin sighed and tried not to get irritated again. Ward was trying to help him at least.

[Kender Bard]

"Probably around here," Ward mumbled. "Didn't like going too far from the city."

[Devon]

"Where did you find him? I need anything you know that can help me track this guy down quicker." Darin folds his arms across his chest and scowls. "Think hard, you owe it to those people out there in Ilyamen."

[Kender Bard]

"I don't owe them shit," Ward snorted. "All I do, I do for my Lord. I found him in Ilyamen. He was a regular faithful of the temple. He believed in my ideals."

[Devon]

So much for staying calm... Reaching out quickly Darin struck the man in the jaw with his fist. Grabbing him by his collar so he wouldn't fall, Darin put him back against the wall. His eyes were blazing red, but his voice was calm and steady."Because of your actions that priestess was killed, then Taed and Efil went to war. Not only did people from both sides die in Ilyamen, but so did people who weren't even involved. Including a few of your fellow worshipers. If you don't owe Ilyamen anything you at least owe your force for the lives you took."

[Kender Bard]

Ward trembled under Darin's assault, keeping silent. He'd said all he could say, now he just wanted this psychotic man to go away.

[Devon]

Darin backs away from Ward and shakes his head. "You guys are all the same. You'd better hope they keep you here longer, because when this is done everyone is going to know why that stupid war started." Turning around Darin exited the cell and locked it behind him. Dropping off the keys with a nearby guard he tucked his hands in his pocket and headed off towards the temple district to find Ward's gofer.
