"Don't fight!" Luminous pleaded with the kittens. "Please don't fight!" An idea occurred to her. "Maybe... Maybe I can take you both home with me?" It's not like the mansion was a small and cramped hovel.

Acqua was more active in stopping the fight before it began, flicking a couple of drops of water onto the two kittens and sending them fleeing under the kitchen table. From that 'safe' spot, they felt brave enough to press up against each other and give Acqua an offended look. Acqua just looked amused in return then nodded to Lumi. "Well, since they're both so attached to you, I can't think of a reason you couldn't have both. As long as your parents agree," she remarked.

"I don't see why they wouldn't," Luminous agreed. She knelt down and beckoned for the kittens to come over to her. "Want me to name you now, little ones?"

~Name us!~ the kittens agreed eagerly, rushing over to Lumi and trying to climb up her body.

"If you let them, they'll ride around on your shoulders," Acqua commented with a smile. "At least until they get to be too big for it."

[Kender Bard]

"I'd be afraid of dropping them," Luminous admitted as she petted them both with grins. "Let's see..." She stroked the light gray kitten. "I'll call you... Queen." She giggled and petted the other kitten. "And you can be Lady."

Lady and Queen purred their approval - just as someone upstairs started crying. "Letha?" Acqua asked as Pixie padded into the kitchen with her other kittens following. "Fighting or hurt?"

~Robin's playing at being a bandit and took her doll prisoner,~ Pixie replied. Acqua groaned and left to get things sorted out. Pixie lay down by the fire and looked at Lumi. ~They've chosen then?~

"Yep!" Luminous replied happily. She pet Queen and told Pixie their names. "Queen is all silvery, like Mommy's hair." She giggled at that and wondered if Lya would make the connection. There were other reasons she picked those names but that one amused her the most.

Pixie purred in amusement at that. ~I wouldn't repeat that to your mother. From what I've seen, it bothers humans when their fur changes colour to grey.~

Lady nuzzled Queen, pushing her out of the way to try to get the lion's share of Lumi's attention. ~Lumi pat me![/i]~ she demanded.

~You're going to have your hands full with that one,~ Pixie remarked, sounding mildly satisfied.

"Good thing I have two hands," Luminous giggled and focused on trying to pet them both at the same time. "When I go home, I'll see about having special beds made for each of them with a soft blanket in them... and maybe their name on the basket!"

~I like that,~ Lady agreed, purring.

~A very soft blanket,~ Queen added. ~And a pretty one.~ With those orders given, Queen trotted over to Pixie to suckle for awhile. Lady was content to curl up on Lumi's lap for awhile.

Pas came into the kitchen, with Wish and one of the kittens trailing after him. "Hi Lumi," he greeted his friend. "Bas still needs to finish her chores, but she'll be done soon." He grinned at the kitten in Lumi's lap and asked, "Did she choose you?"

"Yep," Luminous informed him. "This is Lady." She gestured to Queen. "And Queen picked me too. I'm taking two home when they're old enough." She gestured to Wish, wanting to give him a scratch behind the ear. "Who else is getting kittens?'

[Northen Light36]

"Well Hunter's staying with me, he says," Pas replied, gesturing to the tabby kitten following him. "And Queen's brother chose Aries. His name is Nick." Pas fought not to grin at that name.

Wish padded over to Lumi and purred as she scratched behind his ear. The old silver tabby twitched his tail in annoyance when Hunter dashed over to pounce on him, but otherwise didn't respond.
