[Kender Bard]

Kyss tried not to fall asleep--after the baby was born, the midwife gave her a concoction to drink and she was very sleepy. But not so sleepy that she couldn't accept the bundle that was handed to her.

The midwife was smiling and talking to Cye mostly, however. "It's a girl. A double Ice!" She took the time to point out the location of the signs. One on her right shin and one on her right palm.

[Devon]

Cye beamed brightly looking at his newly born daughter. Since Kyss was so sleepy he decided he'd spare her the rapid fire talking. Instead he kissed her on the forehead and continued talking to the midwife. "That is great, one sign from me and one from her mother," he said.

"I have no idea what to name her, but I know Kyss would be upset if I name our daughter while she is sleeping...oh man I want to tell everyone!"

[Kender Bard]

"I'm still awake," Kyss murmured, but yawned. "Do we want an Ice name or just a nice, normal name...?"

"You sleep soon," the midwife told Kyss as she gathered her things up to go.

[Devon]

"You know I was just thinking of a name for our daughter," Cye said to Kyss as he moved to stand beside her. "It is Ice in nature...how about the name Gywnna?" he asked her.

[Kender Bard]

"Gwynna," Kyss murmured, trying it out. It felt good to say. "Aye. Gwynna." She yawned again and bent her head to kiss the baby softly on the cheek. Gwynna was as exhausted as her mother. "Would you like to hold her?"

[Devon]

Cye looked at his daughter and calmed down for a moment, he was actually quite nervous to hold his daughter for the first time. "Yes I'd like to hold Gywn," he said to his wife.

[Kender Bard]

"Here," Kyss said, offering the infant to her husband. "Hold her like I showed you--mind her head." Already her eyes were beginning to close a little as she fought a losing struggle to stay awake.

[Devon]

Cye reached out and held his daughter the way Kyss had shown him. Quietly he took a seat and looked over his little girl, a smile on his face growing as each second passed. He was mindful to stay quiet, but he couldn't help to grin at Kyss while holding Gywnna.

Kyss managed a smile back before she drifted off into a deep sleep.

"You'll need to keep her-" the midwife gestured at Kyss "-in bed for a while until she's fully healed. Childbirth takes a lot out of a woman, after all. I'm sure she can tell you what to do with the little one, or you could ask one of the women around here to help if need be."

[Devon]

Cye nodded, not taking his eyes off of his daughter for the time being. "I'll just let Gywnna rest today and tomorrow if I need help I will go and see someone. I want Kyss to rest as much as possible."
