"Aye, very well," Nalani agreed as she went and kissed him softly. "I'll include it in the letter. If she objects, one of the Minds that lives there will let us know."

[Devon]

"Good then," Ryder said with a small smile. "I was wondering, since you will be leaving here soon, if you'd like to stay with me until it was time for you to go to Khelek?" he asked a bit nervously.

[Kender Bard]

Nalani blinked in surprise, and thought about it. It wasn't as though she'd be working up to the day of departure.

"All right," she agreed after a bit of thought. "Give me a day or two. There are things I need to settle here, first. People to say goodbye to." She thought with a pang of her fellow house servants. Although she'd never managed to grow exceptionally close to anyone, she'd come to regard them all with fondness and the easy companionship that work can provide. She'd miss them.

[Devon]

"all right," Ryder replied, glad she decided to stay with him before she leaves for Khelek. "Is there anything you need help with right now?"

[Kender Bard]

Nalani shook her head and embraced him tightly. "I just want to be with you," she murmured and kissed him softly.

She needed to savor every moment. They'd be precious few soon.

[Devon]

Ryder wrapped his arms around Nalani and returned her kiss with passion. "Well in that case," he murmured as he teleported the two of them off to his room. "I'm going to miss you terribly, so I hope you don't mind if I'm selfish with the remaining time we have together this year."
