Talon smiled and continued to joke and jibe with the two. His mood felt a trifle better. The booze he'd imbibed (moderated by the snacks he'd snatched off his friends' plates) helped as well. By the time he was done, he was feeling pleasantly tipsy. "Well I'd better go home," he declared after a while. "Tuck the kids in, kiss my wife."

"Looks like we're calling it a night then," Mat says with a smile. "I should get home as well. My wife's a lot prettier company then the two of you." Laughing, he bids the other two farewell and heads back to the guild.
