"This is going to be great!" a young female Soahcian priestess giggled with enthusiasm. She was flanked by three other Soahcian men, and behind them stretched a small trail of other priests. Everyone was giving them a wide birth. Wider since the group was composed of mostly Greedy and Addicts.
"It better be profitable," the oldest of the three men scowled at her, arms crossed over his robes with a petulant look. "We greedy aren't funding this little trip for thrill you know."
"It'll be thrilling AND profitable," the second of the men replied. This one was drawing stray gazes from many of the women as he passed, his features soft and terribly lovely. Kron smiled knowingly to himself as he caught the gaze of one and gave his long, golden brown topknot a casual toss and threw a wink of cool, grey eyes.
"Mm, blow profit, I just wants me some challenge!" the third of the party, Roncly, remarked. "An' dun be thinkin' dat ahm not grateful for takin' me along."
"A friend of a friend is always welcome," the woman, Gigi, enthused.
"Soahc bless the Curious," Roncly responded with a hand to his heart. "'Oo know right lot more den they ought."
"I'm just wondering where we're going to find room for this," the older man, Fiyron, scowled. "This city is very full."
"Eh, it's not the season for merchants," Kron pointed out. "We're lucky we got here when we did. I imagine we may be staying for the spring. I hope our brethren are prepared to put up with us."
"I'm sure we've got a Wrath tucked away somewhere in our ranks," Gigi giggled again. "If they balk, they can be persuaded."
"An' we can bet on de fights!" Roncly agreed eagerly, earning a wide grin and nod from Kron.
One of the priests behind them, overhearing, declared they'd settle wherever they damn well pleased. As if reaching a consensus on that fact, the priests found the first amount of open space they could crowd themselves into and began setting their packs down. Some of the Greedy in the group wandered around and stole crates or other flat surfaces and the priests began to busily build something of a long table right on the side of a wide road going through Ilyamen.
