Locket took a deep breath and let it out, admiring herself in the long mirror in front of her. Well; she had said she wanted a pretty, long white dress for her wedding, and she got it. It had looked gorgeous when the tailor had held it up but it felt a little... surreal to actually be wearing it. "You know, this all feels funny," she stated.
"How so?" Harmony asked from where she sat in between her mother and Locket's mother on the bed. She had been dressed as well (and not in pink, though Locket had teased and threatened her with it on several occassions) and wore a garland of feathers and flowers in her hair. Every now and then she'd forget she was wearing it and knock it askew - it currently hung precariously lopsided.
"Oh I don't know," Locket protested. "Like a daydream but not. Like it's real, but not. Something in between. For Soahc's sake, I'm already married, I shouldn't feel so fluttery and silly."
"Nonesense," Filly replied, reaching over to fuss with Harmony's outfit, making the girl squirm and whine. "This is a very big day. Today you'll be officially recognized by the state."
"I guess," Locket remarked, and brightened. "And there'll be the celebration!"
"And that," Filly agreed, grinning. "Are you all set?"
"One more thing," Locket admitted. "But I'd like to do that in private. You guys better go to your places or find your seats or something."
"You look lovely darling," Silvie said, walking over to hug Locket tightly, eyes misting over a little. "Your father and I are so happy for you. My little Kristin..."
"Mom," Locket sighed, but smiled as she did so and hugged her mother back. "Go on. Tell dad things should begin soon."
Filly took Harmony's hand and followed Silvie out of Locket's room. ~Nagi, how are you feeling? Locket says she's nearly ready.~
