Bundling off the Girls

[Kender Bard]

Thelon teleported outside the palace. He shivered and hastened to seek permission to enter. ~I'm here to collect the girls~ he informed Schuldig. ~May I come in?~

[Darastrix]

~Sure; come on in,~ Schuldig said. ~I'm in the entry hall.~ He turned his attention from Thelon and called to Filly and Nagi. ~Thelon's here to take the girls to Sensatia.~

~Locket, come to the main hall,~ Nagi sent, hastening to join Schuldig. ~Master Thelon is here.~

Locket came, as bid, but she looked extremely upset. She had packed and made all preparations to leave, not wanting to make Nagi mad or disappointed, but now she was beginning to balk. "Nagi, please don't make me go," she begged quietly, distraught.

Harmony, on the other hand, looked somewhat excited. She was fairly bouncing down the hall alongside her mother. Filly smiled and stroked her hair fondly. "Be good for Master Thelon."

"I will," Harmony promised, grinning. She hugged Filly tightly, and then Schuldig. "Beat the ugly demon up, Daddy!"

[Darastrix]

"Locket, I don't want you to stay here while everything is happening. You could get hurt," Nagi whispered back. "And someone should go with Harmony, too."


Schuldig hugged his daughter and ruffled her hair. "I'm just supervising." He glanced at Filly, wishing for not the first time that she was going as well. ~I don't suppose you could drag Filly with you?~ he said hopefully to Thelon.

"Can't you come with me?" Locket asked quietly. The reminder of Harmony was all it took to curb the woman's insistence on staying. She took his hand tightly in her own. "I don't want you to get hurt." And she'd miss him but it went without saying.

Thelon just raised his brow at Schuldig and glanced at Filly momentarily. From the sour look that came over her, and the sharp look she cut at Schuldig, he had answer enough and shook his head.

"That's cause you'd kill it dead in an instant and the others have to have fun," Harmony concluded. She squeezed him once more before letting go and going to Thelon. "I'll be back soon right?"

"Quite," Filly answered and bent to kiss her cheek.

[Darastrix]

"I can teleport away if I have to," Nagi told her, squeezing her hand. "But they may need me here." They had the army and people coming in from different lands, but he knew that his strength of telekinesis wasn't that common. He could restrain or push the demon back if necessary, and without having to get close enough to touch.

He reached into a pocket and pulled out the sun and snowflake emblem Locket had given him for Efilive. Nagi broke the pieces apart and offered the snowflake half to her. "We'll be together again soon," he promised.

'Damn,' Schuldig thought to himself. Healer or not, Filly was mortal and he really wanted her away until the matter settled.

"Try not to cause too much trouble," he said to Harmony. With it being his kid accompanied by a Soahcian priestess, there was no sense in forbidding any. He was realistic...when it suited him.

Locket sniffled wiping away the tears that slipped down her cheeks as she accepted the half of the emblem he gave her. She threw her arms around him and gave him a fierce kiss.

Harmony just grinned at Schuldig.

"I love you so much," Locket sniffled, and reluctantly let go of him to shuffle over to Thelon and Harmony.

~I promise you'll have fun~ Thelon said to the distraught priestess. Locket didn't deign to reply. Thelon lay his hands on the shoulders of them both.

"Love you Mom and Dad!" Harmony cried out waving to her parents. Then they were gone.
