Fall of Worg: Part II - Infiltration

Arbiter's eyes widened in shock before withdrawing quickly, leaving him shaking. Nissar glances at him as he scans his agent's mind to learn what he saw.

Nissar frowns at Worg and rises from his throne. "You say you have an artifact you say?" Inside he was wondering why yet another Force was approaching him in such a..mundane way.

[Kender Bard]

Worg nodded and withdrew the dagger, slowly, from her pack. "This belongs with the spear that was brought to you," she explained. "There were ancient writings in the temple where they resided. Together, they unlock new and special powers. If you take me to the shield, I will demonstrate on a victim of your choice."

"What spear do you speak of? For that matter, who are you supposed to be?" Nissar asks in a neutral tone in spite of a tiny smirk to grace his face.

[Kender Bard]

Worg saluted with her free hand. "Sir, I understand that such matters should not be widely known," she admitted. "But you leave me no choice - I speak of the mystical spear brought to you by one of the agents employed by the high priestess. We were sent in a pair as I cannot teleport but my partner can. As it happened, there were two artifacts in the place we were instructed to go to. I grabbed both, and made to meet with the other man - I believe his name was Greggory - so he could teleport me to safety. I was intercepted, though. I dropped the dagger but managed to keep the spear. When I met with Greggory, injured and weak, he betrayed me. He took the spear and came here, claiming solitary glory for the find. I retrieved the lost dagger and made my way to you on my own power. That is why it's taken me so long."

Nissar narrows his eyes at Worg. "So, you claim that there were two artifacts of Worg rather then just one? What did the writings say about what the dagger and spear could do together?" He turned with a hidden smirk before sitting back down on the throne.

[Kender Bard]

"It is easier to show you," she sighed. "But from what I gathered, the dagger can elongate into a sword and the spear can shrink to a crossbow bolt. But this power is only accessible when they are together. Also, I have reason to believe their power will be magnified."

"So, the report concerning a 'Shield of Worg' were false then?" Nissar asked in what almost sounds like genuine curiosity. Everything about this was wrong and he felt a deep need to know more about it.

[Kender Bard]

"Shield?" Worg asked incredulously, not missing a beat though her heart did flutter in her chest with fear. "No. There was no shield. Perhaps Greggory thought to mislead you, lord. I would not be surprised if a worm such as he tried to lead you on a wild goose hunt so he could try to retrieve the dagger himself."

"That is certainly possible..that he may try." Nissar gives Worg a glare before continuing. "However his mind was as complicated as a child's puzzle. Your mind however, if my aide's skills are to be trusted, is like a vast and dangerous jungle. All of it eager to kill him." He leans forward slightly and gives an evil smile. "I want to know why you need to approach me in such a way Worg."

[Kender Bard]

Worg narrowed her eyes at Nissar. "Perhaps because I desire to see how keen your perceptions are," she responded, then bowed her head slightly. "I find them sharper than I intended. Well played. Now, give me my spear."

Nissar waves his hand to dismiss the soldiers, wiping the last few minutes of memory from there minds as he does so. "The last Force who came here created quite a stir. Why is it that two Forces have come before me in regards to there own artifacts? I would be most grateful for the truth this time."

[Kender Bard]

"I see no reason why I should have to tell you," Worg responds flatly. "However, I am willing to deal with you. Give me my spear and take me to Autus. In return, I will tell you why you have been approached in this manner twice now."

"And what will you do if I refuse?" Nissar asks as he raises an eyebrow at Worg even as he tries to piece together what is happening.

[Kender Bard]

Worg glared at Nissar. "Dare you to risk the wrath of a Force? I or my siblings would make it go very, very hard on you, mortal. Don't be stupid."

Nissar suddenly began to chuckle. "You really don't know do you?" He leaned back with a self satisfied smirk. "Very interesting...it is as I suspected. You are trapped here with us mortals. You have no real power at this moment if I am not mistaken."
