Shui was getting excited. "Oh, um, can I be a knight?" she asked with a giggle, and, they let her.
After some time of play, much fun and giggling, Shui finally bade the kids goodbye and returned to Jonathan, cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling.
"That was so much fun! Thanks dad!" she chirped, starting to walk off. Within moments though, she came to a stop as she realized what she had said. She stared at the ground, eyes wide and cheeks flaming red.

Jonathan chuckled, walking up and patting her on the shoulder softly, "It's okay, Shui," he replied gently at her expression. "I understand the sentiment. Come on, let's head back to the temple in time for dinner."
Shui watched him for a while, her eyes on his back. Was it okay? Was it really okay, to just call him that? Would it not be like betraying the one who had raised her for all those years? Perhaps she should talk to a priest about it.
Jogging a bit, she caught up with him and, for once feeling shy, took his hand. "Thank you..." she muttered, voice very quiet, being taken away by the wind.
