Laura sighed as she stroked Raindrop's hair. "And do you remember who they were or what they looked like?" Streak gives Saph a nervous, frightened glance and discreetly moves to the other side of the room.

Raindrop flinches away from her mother's touch, not quite as much as she'd flinched away from Saph but still clearly uncomfortable. "They said their names were Ben, James and..." Raindrop has to swallow a few times before she gets the last name out. "Ian." Slowly, practically hiding in the blankets and with her voice shaking, Raindrop manages to describe her attackers.
After a moment of whispered swearing and shaking his sore hand, Saph turns to Streak. "Do me a favour. Slip out the back door and fetch Tavia and Tavin Star, would you?"

Laura shut her eyes partially as she concentrated on putting this information into her memory so she'd never have to ask Rain again. Once done she gave a slight nod. "You don't need to tell me exactly what happened, but the more I know the more I can use against them. So tell me as much as you're comfortable with." Streak nods, wordlessly going to do as bid.

"We were talking," Raindrop whispers. "They were nice... They kept telling me how pretty I was... Then they said it was too cold and... Ian invited me to his house..." Raindrop cringes as she looks up at her mother. "I knew I shouldn't... But I liked hearing them saying nice things, and they didn't seem bad... I went with them... Ben made us some tea, but I started feeling strange when I had some... I wanted to go home, but Ian said I was sick. He made me lie on the bed... James said he'd get you... Ian started... He started..." Raindrop starts to cry again. "He undid my dress... I told him not to, but Ben held my hands. I think James grabbed my feet... I screamed, but they wouldn't stop..." Raindrop closes her eyes, shaking hard.
"Shh," Laura murmured hugging her. "That's enough. You don't need to say any more." She's... not entirely sure what to do at the moment. She wanted to comfort Raindrop but there was much to be done. "Saph," she calls out, needing the assistance of her husband.

Saph comes into the room, instantly, looking at his wife and daughter in a mixture of fury and concern. "Rain," he says gently, kneeling beside the couch, "I sent Streak to get Tavia Star. Would you let her make sure those boys didn't hurt you?"
"Do I have to?" Raindrop asks, whimpering. Saph shakes his head.
"I would never make you do something, sweetie," he promises. "If you're really not comfortable with it, I'll appologise to Tavia and send her home. Tavin's coming too, though. But don't worry sweetie, I'm just going to ask him to bring your uncle Flash here and then Flash and I are going to find whoever did this."
"I need you go to the guards with this information," Laura informs Saph, telling him the names and descriptions of the three boys. She's worried Saph will do something drastic. And she's really worried Flash will - that would be disastrous, however much she secretly hoped they DID do something drastic and vengeful.

Saph nods, then looks up as there's a knock on the door. "I'll just get that," he says and lets Tavin and Tavia in. There's a quiet discussion between the three, then Tavin teleports away and Saph leaves to alert the guards. Tavia approaches Raindrop.
"Hello Rain," she says gently. "I hear you had a bit of trouble." She kneels beside the girl. "Would you let me take care of you, dear? I promise, I'm not going to touch you and any time you want me to go away, I will. I just want to help, Rain." Raindrop's shaking, but she slowly nods. Tavia looks at Laura, "Lady Laura, my husband will be back soon with your brother-in-law. I think you should go wait for them," she says in the 'My word is law, do as you're told' tone all healers seem to learn.
Laura gives her a sharp look. If Rain wanted her to be there, she would be there, and she didn't appreciate Tavia assuming that was the case. Nonetheless she bends down and reiterates to Rain that she'll just be in the next room and leaves to busy herself. She's startled as she notices Streak slip in the back way. "Streak, shouldn't you go home?"
Streak looks at her a bit helplessly.
"You're not going to be seeing Rain again tonight I sense."

While Tavia's still talking to and tending to Raindrop, Tavin arrives with Flash. The older Calder brother is looking quite concerned. "Laura? What's happened? I could feel Saph's fury all the way from Maelstrom."
Laura sighs and embraces Flash tightly before stepping back. "First... you have to promise you won't go off and commit murder this instance." Not really giving him a chance to answer she launches into the story telling all she knows and what she can infer. "Right now Tavia is checking her."

Flash's eyes darken and a murderous expression crosses his face. "My niece was almost raped and you expect me not to go after the bastards?" he growls, then takes a deep breath to try calming himself a little. It doesn't help much. "I want guards on both the girls from now on, Laura," he growls. "I'll go to Ilyamen and hire someone from the mercenary guild if I have to, but the twins are never alone from now on." Taking another deep breath, Flash adds, "Where's Saph?"
"I sent him to inform the guards of what's happened," Laura said, and held Flash's arm tightly. "Flash, I'm angry and upset too, and I want to see the monsters that did this to Rain punished, but that does not put us above the law."

Flash mutters angrily, "I highly doubt anyone would care what happens to three creatures that would harm a seventeen year old girl. Even if someone did find the bodies." He tries to shake off Laura's hand. "Shadow would look the other way in any case, not that he needs to know."
Laura shut her eyes and tried to take a calming breath. "They are monsters and justice will be served. They will be caught, their accusations read aloud, the victims giving reparations as much as possible, and then they will be punished." She growls, almost snarls, "Execution by my word."
