The merchants geared up when they knew that the cart from Flux was coming around again. This was one of the best times for quick profit if they could get the call and knew how to sell. Getting their wares ready along with their minds they waited. For Flux, it was almost a random chance whether or not they would get nothing or pick up some good profits. All they could do was dress their best.

"How dare you use the L word!" Wisdom scolded. "Logic smogic, these people know that if we don't like t heir prices we'll move on to the next man." He reached into a bag hanging from his belt filled with buttons and other small, round knickknacks and threw a handful towards the assembled merchants. Wherever there was the most green objects, he got up and headed to that merchant.
The merchant stood up tall, taking a quick estimate of how much the man approaching him should have. He put on his best selling face, which included a very sincere looking grin and began to pitch his wares.
"What in particular are you looking for? I see you have loaded up a bit before coming here, so it must be quality you are after. You have come to the right place if that is what you are in need of."

Wisdom rubbed his hands together and spoke first the thing that all Fluxians crave. "Booze," he proclaimed. "After that? The usual. Veggies, fruits, salted meats, whatever will get us through to autumn."
Adam decided to speak up. "Oh yeah, and if you might know what a pineal gland is that would be great."
Drake thinks of what else they may have a hard time with on that list. "And you wouldn't happen to have anything really...really unusual laying around do you? Like something you can't even really comprehend?"
The merchant didn't even blink, he took down the order on a sheet of paper and then started to count what he had at his stall. If you didn't expect insanity at this point you weren't fit to make this sale. He looked about when they asked if there was something about that really made him curious, something beyond his comprehension.
"Well, that will come out to 230 copper pieces for the greens, fruits and alcohols. I do have to say we have not received a shipment of pineal glands, but I will happily keep an eye out, along with anything that could match the description of your comrades. Actually... if you will wait a second."
He dug around behind his cart and produced what looked like a gem cut black stone. It was definitely a precious gem even to the untrained eye, in that even with the black color there was obviously a glassy transparency.
"This was found along with a vein of emeralds believe it or not... I believe that we could strike a deal for it, perhaps for an extra twenty copper?"

Wisdom left the gem to be dealt with by the twins while he considered the rest of the bulk. "I think..." He murmured, flipping a coin from heads to tails over and over. Eventually he stopped and looked down, as if divining something. "I think a hundred copper will do."
The merchant looked at the thirteen copper and nodded a bit, rubbing his finger over his chin as if he were thinking deeply about the sale he was going to make. He felt that the twin's interest in the gem was enough to help him out in the long run.
"all right, how about this, I think I can work with all of you. I'm a reasonable man, but a lot of good men and women that are counting on me making a fair sale here in order to feed themselves. So, I tell you what, I will cut out the profit I will get from the food and alcohol sales, and for that thirteen copper I will lower the price of the gem. How about, 175 copper in total? I'm only making the thirteen copper from this for myself."

"I'm so sure," Wisdom laughed and flipped the coin again. This time it came up heads. "Deal," he agreed, and counted out the money to hand on over. "Well that about takes care of things. We'll let the others browse for themselves and then start heading on back."
