[Kender Bard]

Pandora was resting on a rug on the floor, a little light headed, with Ven curled up on top of her. "I don't want to talk," she mumbled, but sat up anyway. She had a feeling what he wanted to talk about.

[Devon]

"So when were you going to tell me you stopped taking your herbs Pandora?" Darin asked straight away as he went to take a seat. "..When did you want to ya know..get afflicted?"

[Kender Bard]

Pandora rubbed her eyes and face, sighing - but mostly she didn't want to look at him. She was both a little ashamed at her trickery, and satisfied that she got away with it. "What do you mean, afflicted?"

[Devon]

"Okay afflicted is the wrong word, but you're pregnant," Darin murmured. "No wonder you were so frisky this past month. Why didn't you tell me you wanted to have a kid?"

[Kender Bard]

Pandora scooted closer to him, tried to nuzzle against his leg, hoping he wasn't too mad. "I doubted you'd agree," she admitted. "And a woman's gotta pass on her blood before she gets too old to do so."

[Devon]

Darin sighed and looked down at her, "You should have told me, but I can't be mad because I didn't catch on to what you're doing." Darin pulled her up and sat her down next to him. "So you're having a baby..and its going to be mine. When you giving birth you better remember you wanted this first and I agreed later."

[Kender Bard]

Pandora laughed softly and cuddled closely. "I'll remember," she cooed next to his ear.

"Oh so you're a live-birth snake?" Ven asked casually.

Pandora looked at him strangely. "Um, I'm a live-birth human honey."

Ven's head cocked slightly as he hissed, "Some snakes have eggs."

Pandora swallowed hard. "Oh boy. I hadn't thought of that." To Darin, she said, "Ven says I might have eggs. Granted, I've never heard of it, but I haven't been to the Beastlands for more than passing by in so long..."

[Devon]

"Eggs?" Darin choked out. "You think you might lay eggs. Well you are a beast sign, but you don't seem like you'd give birth the same way a snake would. Maybe we should ask someone in town?"

[Kender Bard]

"I don't think there are many Beasts here," Pandora muttered. "I do think that perhaps a trip to the Beastlands may be in order, though... if you're not opposed of course."

[Devon]

"Of course not," Darin replied. "We might as well go. Are you sure you should be traveling around a lot in your condition?"

[Kender Bard]

Pandora gave a snort of derision. "My condition, tch!" She punched him gently on the arm. "You make me sound frail and pitiful. If you hadn't caught me this morning you wouldn't have had a clue, now would you?"

[Devon]

"I'm sure I would have noticed when you stomach got bigger," Darin muttered. "And I wasn't paying attention anyway. I thought I was just lucky to be getting all that attention from you."

[Kender Bard]

Pandora felt a stab of guilt and moved to kiss him tenderly. "It doesn't have to be for a hidden reason that I want to give you my attention," she said. "Believe me - once we really are settled, for true and good, I think you'll be pleased with just how much attention you get."

[Devon]

Darin smiled and held her for a moment. "I'm going to hold you to that Pandora." Leaning his head back he let out a breath. "I can't believe you're going to have my kid. Are you thinking things through all right? Can you honestly imagine me as a father?"

[Kender Bard]

Pandora laughed happily, nodding. "Well I don't think how much I thought things through - but it's been at least a year of thinking. That sounds enough for me. Besides, you were so very good with that little brat we babysat for our house money. I think that was the clincher."
