Zira paces about his shop a few days after the nobles' wedding, thinking. Thanks to Thuoth's blessing, he now has the means of traveling about Naruta quickly to find his friend. And to hopefully help Zack understand....

No, one step at a time, the Wind/Mind thinks.

Before he can even consider using his new sign to show Zack anything, or even find the man, he's in desperate need of a teacher. Zira's already dug out a book or two he'd gotten from somewhere that tell a bit about Mind abilities, but the information is sketchy at best. A sign of something more, well, tangible than thought might be within his abilities to teach himself. But what little he does know about Mind powers has him rather hesitant to attempt anything on his own. And as far as he can tell, Minds are a bit of a rarity in Talen'sul.

"Hopefully one of the customers I ask will know someone who may be willing," he says to himself, sitting down with one of the aforementioned books.

[Northen Light36]

"Anyone home?" Tavin calls, stepping into the shop. "I was hoping to buy a few new books." He looks around for Zira.

[Darastrix]

Oh, good. A customer, he thinks, standing.

"Of course, do come in. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?" Zira asks, slipping a feather in the book to mark his place.

[Northen Light36]

"No, not really," Tavin replies, brushing his hair out of his face and reavealing the mind sign under his left eye. "I just want something new and interresting to read. Any recommendations?"

[Darastrix]

Zira does a doubletake when he sees Tavin's sign, nearly dropping his book in the process. "You're a Mind?" he blurts out. "Er, excuse me," he says, flushing slightly. "I've been wanting to locate another Mind here. I just wasn't expecting to have one stop by."

[Northen Light36]

"Another Mind?" Tavin asks, looking at Zira in shock. "I wasn't aware there were any Minds other then myself anywhere in the city. Well, this is a surprise. Why were you looking for other Minds?"

[Darastrix]

Zira parts his long bangs to reveal the Mind sign showing starkly against his pale skin. "I can still scarcely believe it, but I seem to have found favour with Thuoth," he says, smiling. "But I'm a Wind as well, and the abilities of this sign are nothing like that. I don't want to cause harm to anyone else or myself trying to use it untrained."

[Northen Light36]

"Wise choice," Tavin replies. "Mistakes with a Mind sign can have... unpleasent results. Well, we can't have an untrained Mind running around. Sir, would you allow me to assist you in learning to use your new sign?"

[Darastrix]

Zira smiles. "I would be very grateful for any help you can give," he replies. "Even if it's just to refer me to someone in Sensatia."

[Northen Light36]

"I think I can teach you the basics at least," Tavin replies with a smile.

[Darastrix]

"Thank you," Zira says, relieved to have met a helpful Mind so quickly. "My name is Zira, by the way. And you are...?"

[Northen Light36]

"Tavin Star," Tavin replies, holding his hand out. "I'm a map maker in the city. My wife's a healer. Now, when do you want to start your lessons?"

[Darastrix]

Zira shakes hands with Tavin, his grip firm but gentle. "I would like to start as soon as is convenient. I keep rather odd hours, so I don't have to worry much about disrupting my own business."

[Northen Light36]

"Seems we're a good match then," Tavin chuckles. "I keep strange hours too. I swear it's only love that keeps my wife from beating me with a pot when I've been working all night. Well, if you're not busy, how about we start your first lesson now?"

[Darastrix]

Zira nods, chuckling a bit himself at Tavin's comment about his wife. "That sounds fine. You know," he says, pausing, "I think I may have met your wife before. I recall a lady buying a couple of books for her husband and daughter a few months ago--a romance and an historical novel. I believe she said her husband's name was Tavin."
