[Devon]

"I want us to prepare our forces for attacking Acoia. Do you have anyone who'd be good enough to spy on Acoia. I'd like to know everything about that place, inside and out," he replies to her, taking a few moments to get down to actual business. As much as he may have wanted to prolong her stay with him, he still had to deal with Efil's forces.

Clearing his throat he adds, "Also the woman you told me about, the one who came to Athrug to speak with you. I want to know where she is, you can feel free to take care of her anyway you wish though."

[Kender Bard]

A look of malign pleasure flitted over Thessa's features a moment - but only for a moment. "Of course we can spy on Acoia, m'lord, but I don't see why we need to. I will dispatch some ghosts to hide and peer in on the place. In truth, m'lord, by the time our army actually reaches Acoia, we will have swollen our ranks so much that they stand no more of a hope than we did at their army."

[Devon]

"You're probably right about that, but I still want to be prepared. This is just like chess to me, I want to be three steps ahead of Efil's army from now on. We're going to return Efil's damage to Athrug two fold." Christian has a somewhat dark look about his face as he thinks about this, eventually the look fades and he appears as calm as he normally is. "After that we can rebuild Athrug."

[Kender Bard]

An almost unholy glee gripped Thessa as she whispered urgently, "Aye, we will rebuild Taed's glorious home, and where better than on the crumbling remains of Acoia's current position? What more fitting revenge and tribute could we give to our Lord and Master?" She once again tried to grab his hand and failed, sighing softly. "I will send the scouts, m'lord. Is there anything else?"

[Devon]

"I don't know, I prefer Athrug where it is. It is the only place in the world where I can see the view of the land just the way I like it from atop the temple." Christian smiles and muses on this to himself, thinking back to the day he was named the new High Priest of Taed. "I don't have any other orders for you. I would suggest a game of chess, but I don't think we can do that now."

[Kender Bard]

"No," she said sadly. "We can't. ...if you wish to keep the Lord's shrine in Athrug, then it will be so, m'lord. I will dismiss my escort so they may return to Athrug - I will remain here with you." She smiled, a little. "And then we can begin our march to catch up with the army?"

[Devon]

Christian nods, "I can't make moves until I get word from Saph again, hopefully he won't take too long to get back to me." He looks at her and continues to speak with a somber smile on his face."I want to spend as much time with you as I can quietly before we have to go out into battle. I just wish there was some way I could hold you while we passed the time."

[Kender Bard]

Thessa let the ghost of a smile appear as she curled up on his bed, at his side, as if she had any need of sleep. Her ghostly form still wavered gently, as though caught in a gentle breeze. "I await you patiently on the other side of the Veil, my love. Someday, we will be together again. Wholly."

[Devon]

Christian lays down beside her, getting as close as possible without actually being close enough to pass through her. "I'll try to be as patient as you are until we can be together again, but seeing you here now I don't want to close my eyes."
