[Devon]

"Sure sure." Marion goes off to find a healer for Maestro Conrad. "My my was school this rowdy when I went?"

[Darastrix]

"Wait! I'll go with you!" The young girl who'd approached Marion before hurries after him. "I want to help the Maestro, too," she says earnestly, looking up at the older bard.

Conrad carefully makes his way back inside, politely refusing several offers of assistance from his charges. Sinking into his usual chair near the fireplace, the maestro sighs and squints as he looks around the room.

Tess, having finished her rounds of posting signs around the hall with the help of Buffy, enters the common room, parting the crowd of students and teachers gathered around the maestro's seat. "Maestro Weaver, what was that noise outside?"

"Mister T-t-talbot felt the n-need t-t-to make his d-departure n-n-noteworthy," he murmurs, removing his glasses and frowning.

[Devon]

Marion stops and turns around to wait for the young girl. "Well then come along you can show me around. I don't think the halls have changed too much, but it has been a long time since I was last here."

[Darastrix]

"Where've you been?" she asks once she catches up to him. "I've never been out of Ilyamen," she adds as an afterthought.

[Devon]

"Oh all over really, I've been to Talen'sul..Flux..Athrug. Flux was a very chaotic place of course that is obvious since it is home to Soahc."

[Darastrix]

"Flux? Really?" The girl looks up at him with wide-eyed interest. "Have you actually been inside the city?"

[Devon]

Marion nods. "It was scarey at first going inside, but really Flux is a big party. A somewhat dangerous party, people are encouraged to do whatever it is that they want.."

[Darastrix]

"Wow! I wish I could go somewhere like that. I'd like to get to do what I want for a change," she says, wrinkling up her nose. "I like the school and all, and the Maestro is really nice," she adds quickly, "but I wish I didn't have to do chores and classes and practice and things all the time."

[Devon]

"Don't worry young lady, it is only temporary. Study and work hard and as soon as you know it, its all over. Heh, you'll miss these days when they're gone. I know I do...playing my flute whenever I feel, going to classes with friends...the girls." Marion coughs and clears his throat. "Never mind that last part. "Oh how rude of me, this whole time I haven't introduced myself. I am Marion..traveling bard...adventurer..too many titles these days."

[Darastrix]

"Nice to meet you, Marion," she says cheerfully. "My name's Lily. I'm just a student so far. One day, I'm going to be a famous musician, though!"

"Let's see.... I think the healer is down this way," Lily says, turning down a street.

[Devon]

Marion smiles at the young girl. "Big dreams you have there, you're young so you have plenty of time to accomplish them." Marion lets the girl lead the way since she seems to know where the healer was.
