Another hard day|Clan Fira, Naurorod

Thelon blushed and smiles nicely at Tavin. He didn't know the man; or at least, didn't remember. "I've come to pay Lady Tres a social visit," he replied. "I don't want to infringe on family time, though, so if m'lady does not mind, I will take my leave and return on a better day."

Tavin raises an eyebrow. "And what interest could you have in my sister-in-law?" he asks icily. Tres frowns, as does Tavia.

"That will do, Tavin," Tres snaps before turning to Thelon. "That might be best," she murmurs in agreement. "When should I expect your next visit?"

[Kender Bard]

Thelon looks at Tavin, puzzled, then back at Tres. "Ah, will a week from now suffice? There are important things I need to take care of that I'd rather not leave in the middle of. I hope you understand."

"Of course," Tres replies with a smile. "I understand the burdens of leadership. Thank you for your visit, Thelon. I look forward to seeing you again." In the background, Aideen giggles and whispers to Gemma who makes a kissy face and sniggers until both girls spot the look Tavia's giving them and fall silent.

Thelon bows deeply and humbly to Tres, murmuring his farewells as he teleports back to his home.

"Don't trust him," Tavin growls the moment Thelon's gone. "I doubt he has any real interrest in you Tres."

"I'm a grown woman, Tavin, and more then capable of chosing my own companions," Tres replies, not taking any offence at Tavin's poor phrasing. "Now stop snarlling and take a seat. I've missed a lot of news from the outside world." Tavin doesn't look happy, but he and Tavia do take the offered seats and soon suspisions are forgotten in place of catching up on family news and world news.

"So, Ronduin and the Kingdom are having difficulties as well?" murmurs Tres. "Well on one hand I'm glad it's not Naurorod alone that's suffering, but the fact that these odd weather changes are happening at all worries me. Almost makes the rumors about angry Forces seem possible."

"You've become paranoid in your old age, sis," teases Tavia. Tres chuckles.

"Old am I?" she asks, before getting up and going outside. A moment later Tavia's squeal can be heard all over the clan as a lump of snow is shoved down Tavia's neck.

A week after Thelon's visit, two days after her siblings and niece have left, Tres can be seen cheerfully tidying her home a little and humming bright and cheerful tunes of songs that were popular in Talen'sul when she was a girl.

"Eww," mutters Gemma. "My mum has a crush." Tres laughs.

"I wouldn't go that far, childling, but I'm allowed to enjoy some attention from a handsome young man," she replies.

"Who looks younger then me," Gemma points out.

Thelon teleported, this time just outside of Tres's home. He had a boquet of flowers, but they were a little wilted looking from the awkward treatment he'd had with them. "M'lady?" he called out softly.

"Ugh, I'm off to volunteer for scout duty," Gemma comments, hurring outside and off into the clan. Tres comes to the door and gives Thelon a smile.

"Come in Thelon!" she greets him. "Oh, flowers!" Tres' eyes light up at the sight of them. One thing the mountain born girl did regret about moving to Naurorod was the lack of greenery. "Thelon, thank you!" Tres holds her door open for Thelon and glances around, flustered, for a varse or something to put them in.

Thelon strides in and shakes some of the snow off his cloak before glancing around politely. "I'm sorry that my departure had to be so abrupt," he remarked, even though he had nothing to do with it. "Have you considered what I've said since the last time we met?"

"No need to apologise," Tres replies, finally finding a vase, putting some snow in it then melting it with a flicker of embers before putting the plants in it. "Tavin was hardly being polite. You'll have to excuse him, he's a touch... resentful I guess, of other minds. He felt he was judged poorly for choosing to take a Wind wife rather then another Mind and to leave his community..." After a moment of fussing with the flowers, Tres stops stalling and looks at Thelon. "I have thought about it," she admits slowly. "If I were to accept, what exactly would that mean for you, me and my daughter?"

"Well, I'd let you decide if you wished to stay here; both of you," Thelon replied slowly. "But you would always, ALWAYS have a home and the protection of Sensatia. Your clan would, would..." He steeled himself. "Your clan would have our protection. As much as I abhor the thought of throwing my men into fighting, we would lay down our lives for you. Well, those of us who can fight." He gulped. "Which is about fifteen or so people. My apologies my lady. If you should choose to come with me, though, I would see to your every want and comfort. Your daughter could be raised up alongside my son, Libre." He smiled a little, talking about his boy. "And our people would be free to live in either land at their discretion as well."

Tres looks thoughtful, but the young woman is no beginner at the art of reading tones and expressions. "You're people are not warriors, Lord Thelon. Should we ever need assitance, the Storms are allies, for at least as long as Shadow and Damien are friends, and they are more suited for trouble then your people are... However, an allance with Sensatia would provide us with a safe place for the children and the elderly..." Tres smiles. "I think providing shelther for those unable to fight would suit your people better then combat," she adds. "However, Thelon, I can't leave my clan, they need a leader. More so then ever now with this odd weather frightening many of us. I can certainly agree visits, and longer ones if Damien and little Ann ever return home, but I can't stay permently..."

Thelon sighed but nodded. "I understand. I, on the other hand, could live here for expanses of time, if you would have me. My council is used to running things, and my voice is only for inventive ideas and deciding factors; plus, as a figurehead." He grinned sheepishly at that, then 'ahem'ed. "Though I do hope you'll want to visit. Sensatia is as pretty as it is safe; and I know a handful of my people will want to see your clan." He felt silly saying a handful and knowing that meant a considerable chunk.

Tres chuckles and replies, "I'm a mountain girl by birth Thelon. As much as I love Naurorod and my people, it would be nice to see something green again." Smiling she nods and replies, "A visit to your home would be lovely Thelon, and your people are welcome anytime, as are you."

Thelon brightened at the statement. It was one step closer to his goal. "Well, in that case, why don't you show me around the place?"
