Kalian grits his teeth and takes a few deep breathes. Getting up to his feet he walks over to Cascata, keeping his eyes on Bael the entire time. Taking a look at the blood on Cascata's corset, Kalian pours healing water over the area.

[Kender Bard]

She leans over and gently pecks his brow, sorrow in her eyes. "Forgive me, Kalian. All I could see was this monster doing to the citizens what he did to the guards." She blinked to get some tears out of her eyes. The Leader must be strong. Leaning over the rail, she pondered what to say to her people.

Kalian puts a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Whatever you decide to do, I'll stand beside you."

[Kender Bard]

Cascata nods and numbly gives her decree. She trusts those that heard will spread it quickly enough. Lowering her head, she stares at her hands gripping the railing and wondering how things could have gone so badly so quickly.

"Who are these Forces you spoke of?" Bael demanded to know.

"They are our guardians, made from the Elements," Cascata whispered. Bael mused, then nodded.

"Is there a temple to them?" he asked. Cascata nodded. "Take me there. You may bring your pet too. He amuses me."

"Let's go," Cascata whispered, walking away.

Kalian scoffs at being called a pet, but follows Cascata all the same. There was no way he'd leave her alone with that vile creature.
