Bel offers a little bow in greeting and decides to let River do the talking. After all, the Earth Leader is there on business and she doesn't want to distract from that too much.

Cascata giggled, leaning forward and pecking River's cheek in a motherly fashion. "I'm glad to see you're well and in good spirits, my dear friend. It has been far too long since I saw you last. Humontis must be as busy as an anthill, like they say. Now, is this a social call or have you business as well?" She cocked her head inquiringly.

He smiled approvingly and contentedly at her actions. A gift from Cascata was always pleasing to him. As usual though he didn't react oddly, nor did he take it for granted.

"Narcissa can handle it, you know that old man, couldn't keep him down if you dropped the mountain itself on him. As far as my visit you know me enough that no matter how much pleasure is involved I do have some buisiness mixed into it. I want to discuss an idea I have been having. An idea to form a peacekeeping body made up of the nations of Naruta. Does that sound good to you?"

He stood pleasently enough, situating himself between Gale and Bel. Not as much for support, he felt as comfortable around Cascata as he did his own mother. He can only guess that the explination could be he really enjoys thier company.

"That sounds marvelous!" she enthused. "Where would it be located? Who would be invited? How would it work?" She sat on the edge of her seat, looking at him wide eyed. This is something she'd dreamed of before the war of the Clears.

River is pleased that Cascata took so quickly to his idea and it showed visibly. Luckily he had almost all the kinks worked out in his plan ahead of time, except for the one's dependent on everybodies participation.

"Well, location has to be neutral ground, nothing that holds importance to anybody... although I thought that something near the great river would be soothing for the politicians and thier inevitable headaches. All major centers of power, including Ilyamen and Reave will be invited to participate, and even that can be broken down further for places like the Beastlands and Naurorod, who have differing philosophies dependent on who you ask. The way it would work is by a quick messenger system that would call for meetings whenever a crisis that might become international begins. I also believe we should set a perminent meeting time occuring once a year no matter what, to keep nations familiar with one another and ties friendly."

He understood he said a mouthfull but he still believes Mother Cascata his superior. This includes him being able to say anything that makes sense to him and her knowing it all before hand. He is grateful to give her good news though, it seems with the waves outside she needed some.

(OOC: and he was referring to the waves he came in on... wait until he sees the new ones )

"That sounds marvelous," Cascata agreed. "Though for space, you'd best take the east coast. The land on the west side of the River is now occupied by Sensatia, the Mind Nation. Thelon's a sneaky one; putting up a nation behind everyone's back." She giggled. "But yes, you may count Ronduin amongst the nations willing to join."

River smiles wide and claps his hand once to signify the books in this case were shut. One of his several odd mannerisms that he no longer even questioned when he performed.

"All of that sounds excellent Mother Cascata. I will make sure this will come to fruition. Some leaders may be more stubborn but I believe yours is a name they will respect."

He does peek out a window, thinking about the journey ahead. He does still feel strange about the air, he has kept in touch with the plants ever since he first arrived. They can feel the changes as well.

"How long will I have the pleasure of your company?" Cascata asks politely. A part of her wanted to get some more time with Kalian, and another part was pleased to have a Leader she knew she could always count on with her.

River couldn't help but feel odd, things weren't right on the outside and something was screaming in his head that he was right. He did snap back when Cascata finished her question though, praising the forces that he could do two things at once.

"Well, longer then I expected something is telling me. The plants in your area... if they could feel fear they are definately feeling it. You have me at your call always Cascata of course, but I will be easier to access for a little while."

He looks to Bel and Gale, trying to see if they are any more troubled by his words then he is. Guess he will get to see his mother after all.

"But I promise not to hang around more then I am wanted. I notice you have some buisiness you would prefer some... privacy... for."

He had to remind himself again and again that Cascata has all right to make this decision for herself.

[Devon]

Kalian looks up and stares hard at River knowing that last comment was about him. Glancing to Cascata, then back to River he forces a smile. "If you really have pressing matters that need to be addressed with Cascata, by all means go ahead. I will have to be a patient man." Kalian resists staring daggers at the man before him since he didn't want to upset Cascata.

[Kender Bard]

Cascata looked a little ruffled. She could almost taste the tension between the two, and it wasn't pleasant in the least bit. She looked almost pleadingly to the two women in River's escort.

"He was here first," Gale pointed out mildly, speaking to River. "And I can sense trouble in the bones of this island, as you can in the plants. Wouldn't it be more exciting to investigate than to stand around and play the silent-insults game?"

The Mother had to smother a giggle. She liked this spunky monk. She spoke her mind, no matter who she was around.

River just nods to both Gale and again pointedly at Cascata. He was well aware and embarrassed at the display he is making. He placed a hand on Bel's shoulder as well, signifying that the meeting was coming to a close.

"Very well Gale, you are correct," he then looked at Cascata very apologetically, "Please forgive me Mother Cascata, know that I respect you more then any other leader on Naruta. I know my feelings on this matter are uncalled for and wrong, they are just difficult to change. I pray this phases neither our trust or our friendship."

He makes another deep bow to the woman and takes a couple small steps back. He eventually turns on his heel and holds the door open for the two ladies in his entourage to leave first.

Gale leaves, pleased to have done something right for her Lord. Cascata watches them go, and bites her lip.

"River, you are dear to me," she called out softly. "And I thank you for your concern." She hoped that would mollify him without upsetting Kalian.

[Devon]

Kalian turns to Cascata and apologizes. "Sorry, I shouldn't have behaved that way."

[Kender Bard]

She waited until River had left, and then shut the door quietly after. "Oh, Kalian, it's okay. I'd forgotten how, well... River is almost like a son to me. I knew his mother when we were little, and I kept in touch once I took up my new identity as the Mother. Though I didn't have time for fraternizing, I kept in touch, and after a while, started to visit a couple times again." She smiled fondly. "Almost crazy that I should only be just now having my own child. Oh well - alone again, and I doubt we'll be bothered for a while again yet. Let's enjoy this reprieve..."
