So close and yet so far|Haven, Ilyamen

Once they arrive in Ilyamen, Mirza glances around for a few seconds to get his bearings before sighing quietly. Being inside his hometown but unable to go into his own home causes a bit of discomfort which he forces himself to hide.

"It's good to be somewhere with a normal temperature again... We probably shouldn't call too much attention to ourselves for a while." After a moment's pause he asks Latia, "Is there anything you want to see while here?"

[Northen Light36]

"Well I'd just like to explore the city a bit," Latia replies, then looks questioningly at Mirza. "Is something wrong? If you want some time to yourself or something, Damien could come exploring with me."

[aivea]

"I'll be fine, though some time alone to sort out my thoughts is tempting. You wouldn't mind, would you?" Mirza says and offers a slight smile. "Try not to get too badly lost, both of you."

[Northen Light36]

"We won't," laughs Latia. "Come on Damien." Quickly she leads the Fire Leader away until they find a park. "Thought you could use a few moments of freedom from him," she mutters to Damien. "I'm... sorry..."

"You were tricked," Damien says simply. "It happens when you're young." Damien sighs. "He let me see her... Only for a few minutes, but he let me see her..." Latia puts a hand on Damien's shoulder.

"We'll find her and free you both, I promise," she whispers. Damien nods silently and the pair fall silent as they stroll through the park.

After watching the two leave, Mirza turns and starts walking toward his home with a grin.

Appearently not everything needs to be said directly in order to be understood. Or maybe Latia is a very good guesser... Either way, it works out fine.

[Devon]

Xavier appears in Ilyamen and looks around for a moment. Noticing DT there beside him Xavier nearly falls over. "Wh-what are you doing here Divria?"

[Kender Bard]

"I wanted to come," she said sweetly, and continued to hold onto a handful of his clothing. "Don't worry, I'll be as quiet as can be and won't get in the way - I promise. Let's go find this Raphael guy or someone who can help us."

[Devon]

Xavier frowns for a moment then touches his signs together. "Raphael is a mind and I dont want him finding out anything." Xavier closes his eyes and touches DT's head to put up a barrier from mental intrusion. Pausing to take a breath Xavier does the same for himself. "Okay..now we can go find him."

[Kender Bard]

DT blinks at what he did, but doesn't mention it. She thought it felt a little funny but otherwise was easy enough to ignore. Smiling, she let herself follow Xavier around.

[Devon]

Xavier walks around the area asking various people about Rapheal.

[aivea]

Raphael, who'd gone for a walk as soon as he started feeling remotely better, overhears the questioning and crosses his arms. He stops cursing Mirza for underpaying him and working him like Raphael was some sort of machine long enough to respond, "Maybe I know where he is. Why do you want him?"

[Devon]

"I heard he was a talented Mind and I wanted to meet him. Do you know him sir?"

[aivea]

Raphael grins at the praise and says, "Well... you found him. Is there something you want or are we just going to chat?"

[Devon]

"If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to talk in a more private place."

[aivea]

Raphael arches an eyebrow at that and replies, "Follow me. I know of somewhere that we can use."

He does have a bit of a sinking feeling but dismisses it after telling himself that this might be the perfect chance to spite Mirza. Turning and expecting to be followed, Raphael starts to walk through Ilyamen and toward the abandoned building in the poorer part of the city that he had found not long ago.
