Thunderous Gathering|Aegestrom, Maelstrom

After his little chat with Alexi, Thunderstrike had decided that the time had come. Picking himself off his perch he glided over Maelstrom a few times, waiting until a clearing presented itself, and settled down into the streets carefully. "Come together!" he ordered. "I wish to speak!"

Storms from all over the city come to hear what the dragon has to say this time, Shadow at the group's head. As nervous and excited whispers break out all over the crowd, Shadow steps forward, trying not to reveal how very much he just wants to go to sleep for a few hours. He's been back in the capital less then an hour, having hopefully squashed any more attempts at rebellion in Thunderclap... Still, a Leader shouldn't complain about their duty... "What is it you have to say, Thunderstrike?" Shadow asks, none of his longing for bed reconisiable in his voice or expression.

"The Storms have done... fairly well at upholding their tasks," Thunderstrike rumbled. "I am prepared to grant your blessing; with a catch." Unfolding his wings impressively and appearing quite imposing, he continues, "Storm types will now each have the companionship of a small lizard companion - black, like I am - that is called a shocker lizard. These lizards will be loyal unto death, and provide great advantage is augmenting one's powers. They are companions, partners, and trustees. Though you will not be able to communicate with them on a spoken level, these creatures will form a deep, empathic bond with their chosen mate." Tilting his head, he adds, "The catch, being, that if any Storm should commit some heinous, horrible act - like slavery - your companions will make your life a living hell. They will assault your soul, your mind, and body with protests. The only escape will be death - for either you or your lizard. Should your lizard die by your hand, well..." Thunderstrike's voice took on an ominous tone, "Even I will have pity on the poor damned soul for the forment they'll be forced to live with." After a moment, he looks around and says, "To bond with your lizard, simply go off alone for a day of prayer to the elements and it will come. That is all." Leaping into the sky, Thunderstrike flies off to take his perch once again.
