Let me give you a hand...|Rivenway, Ronduin

A Mind type from Flumens named Takeshi teleports into Ronduin and makes his way into the first inn that he sees. He plans to ask the patrons if they needed the services of a Mind, but pauses self-consciously right before speaking. Takeshi reminds himself that following the dragon's decree to aid the other Elementals and that this was as good place as any to start. Standing up straighter and easing a friendly look onto his face, the Mind walks from the doorway to the center of the lobby.

"Hello, fair people of Ronduin. Do any of you require the aid of a Mind type or are on a Force Quest?" Takeshi asks in what he hoped was a cheerful tone.

"Relax already, Takeshi! You know better than to get so tense around Elementals and most Elementals don't bite Mind types," he scolds himself. "I hope going about it this way does not bother Fae Flit..."

A young woman looks up and walks over to him. "Well I don't know if anyone here is on a force quest, but maybe you could help with the rebuilding or training our army if you're any good with weapons?" she suggests.

Takeshi turns toward the young woman with a quiet thanks for the suggestions. As time goes on, however, he is becoming rather uncomfortable having never been around more than three other people at once before. He tries not to let it show through too much and does his best to remain composed. Mostly because the thought of having a nervous breakdown in public is an unpleasant one.

"Unfortunately, I am no soldier," he admits. "Therefore, I will do what is needed to aid in the rebuilding. Could you spare the time to lead me to where work is being done?"

While waiting for an answer, Takeshi gives himself another quick reminder that the people here are not harmful to those who do nothing to provoke them.

"Pick a building, any building," replies the young woman ruefully, rubbing the Ice symbol on her check with a sigh. Her left hand has her water sign on the back. "Anything close to the beaches will probably fall on top of you if you breath hard on them and those closer to the centre of the city aren't much better. I'm Artica, by the way. What's your name?"

"My name is Takeshi of Flumens. It is a pleasure to meet you, Artica. If you would like, I can do what I can to make your home more livable for a start," Takeshi replies, secretly more than happy to have the chance to go some where less crowded than the inn.

The telekinesis specialist eases a smile onto his face when he makes his offer.

Artica smiles. "That would be lovely..." As she begins to lead Takeshi through the ruined city she asks, "Do you happen to know a Mind named Tavin? He's my sister, Tavia's husband." She looks hopefully at him.

"I do believe I have heard the name before, but I do not recall meeting him. Forgive me for the fact that I rarely set foot outside of the library?" Takeshi replies, in a faintly apologetic tone.

It's true that he heard the name mentioned in passing by one of the other Minds and also true that he has not met the man personally. He knows that is mixed news, but believes even hurtful truth is better than being left guessing.

Artica sighs. "I guess it was too much to hope that you'd know where he was... My sister is a Wind elemental... I haven't heard from her, Tavin or their little girl, Aideen, since Talen'sul was attacked..." Artica closes her eyes in grief for a moment, before shaking her head. "They and my Storm brother, Zapary, and my sister, Tres, are all the family I have. Tres I know is still fine and safe in Narurod, but I haven't heard from any of my other siblings." She sighes and leads the way to one of the more ruined houses on the beach. "This is what's left of my house..."

"Let me see what I can do for your home and then I do everything I can to reunite you with the missing members of your family," Takeshi says and presses two fingers to the Mind sign next to his lips.

~Fae Flit? I hope you will not mind that I have chosen to rebuild Arctica's home to the full extent of my ability and then to reunite her with her family,~ he calls to the Mind dragon and hopes the dragon will hear him and not be angry.

That done, he shifts his attention to levitating the pieces of debris that are light enough for him to move out of the way. Takeshi moves aside as many as he can before lowering his hand and fighting a wave of dizzyness for a few moments. Once the dizzyness is over, he examines the pieces to try to decide how much was salvagable.

"There is a fair amount that I think could be repaired," he proclaims in hopes that news would lighten the mood.

Artica smiles softly. "There's more then I hoped," she agrees. "Are you all right? You looked dizzy."

[aivea]

"I get rather dizzy if I overuse my powers," Takeshi admits with a rather sheepish look. "I should be fine after a good rest or if I do not use them for a few hours, whichever comes first. Nothing to worry about."

"Well, I can't offer you a bed," Artica says with a wry smile. "But I can probably get us both a meal if that'll help?"

A slight tickling in the back of Takeshi's mind occurs as Fae Flit squeals, happily, ~That's a great idea, and very noble. Good for you Takeshi!~

"I am getting rather hungry and a meal may help as well," Takeshi replies. "Is there anywhere in particular you want to go? I'm afraid I've never been outside Flumens before."

"Really? Well this must be quite the adventure for you in that case," replies Artica. "We'll have to go to the markets to get some food, but would you be interrested in a picnic on the beach?"
