Charisma considers then gives her assent, saying, "Letter writing will be acceptable. I have no desire to inflict anymore pain on Cascata than has already been done. Let us go, Jhaal. We have to seek out Damien and then Emera. After that, our journey will be complete."

[jhaal]

Jhaal has absolutely no desire to meet with Damien at all, but he nods miserably.
"Yes, I suppose that's all there is left for me to do," he replies quietly, still watching Cascata as if transfixed. "At least now I understand why they hate us so."

[Kender Bard]

"And that is as important as seeking forgiveness for it," Charisma crooned, then took off into the air, heading for Naurorod.

Shortly after their departure, Cascata stirred and murmured, "What.. What happened?"

"Mother Cascata, are you feeling better now?" asks Haukea before explaining. "A Clear named Jhaal arrived in the company of a dragon and asks for his people to be forgiven for their misdeeds. He wishes to be written to with any conditions that need to be carried out before forgiveness is giving. They have left in peace and you are safe."

He is careful to keep his tone reassuring and leans down holding out a hand to help Cascata back to her feet. Part of his mind raises the possiblity that he'd lose his balance and fall as well which would be extremely embaressing.

Flushing, Cascata accepts his help and rises to her feet, mumbling, "Forgive me for that.. dreadful display. I.. It's just..." She bit her lip and repressed a shudder. "Too many nightmares still visit me in the night to be able to face a Clear again with any amount of confidence."

[aivea]

"Of course I forgive you, Mother Cascata," Haukea replies quickly. "The ordeal you were forced to undergo is amongst the worst fates that anyone could suffer, so I have not been expecting you to have completely recovered. I will remember to pray that the nightmares will eventually leave you... Would it pain you to receive letters from a Clear who asks only for those of his people who desire only peace to be forgiven? If it would, I will inform Jhaal of that fact to spare you the pain."

"And I pray that this nauseating act will only be only be for a short while at the same time."

He continues to act polite and concerned through the entire reply.

Flash, having heard rumors of a commotion while dining with some of Cascata's servents and vaguely aware of her distress through their bond, bolts into the room with one hand already on his Storm sign and scanning the area for danger. "Cascata, what happened?" he asks, rushing to her side.

[Kender Bard]

Cascata smiles uneasily at Flash, saying, "It is okay now, Flash, thank you. I just.. Well, a C-clear showed up and I sort of lost my head." To Haukea she says, "Letters will be fine. He can't reach me through ink and paper, and it will allow me all the time I need to gather my thoughts. I'm sorry that dinner has been disrupted though. As you can imagine I no longer have an apetite. If you desire, I can have some peple make you up another, smaller meal to be taken wherever you like."

"None of what happened is your fault... The dragons appear to travel wherever they please and are beyond the control of any of us. I am relieved that you feel up to communicating with the representative of the remaining Clears, even if only in writing. Perhaps that letters do not bother you is a good sign." After a slight pause, Haukea admits, "I appreciate the the offer; however, unfortunately, I have also lost my appetite."

[Kender Bard]

Nodding wearily, Cascata offers, "Then shall I show you to your quarters?"

[aivea]

"Yes, if you don't mind," Haukea replies. "Though you might want to rest soon as well, Mother Cascata."

[Kender Bard]

"Aye, I plan to," Cascata says wearily, and without the usual eloquence. Beckoning, she walks off back inside, down a hallway and into a wing with two bedrooms. Motioning, she says, "These are yours. Rest well, Master Haukea."

"Thank you and good night, Mother Cascata," Haukea says before entering one of the two rooms.

He shrugs off his cloak, weary from traveling and more than grateful for the chance to rest in a bed rather than on the ground. Once he's certain Cascata isn't watching, Haukea collapses gracelessly onto the bed after dismissing Kemp for the night. It doesn't take long for him to fall asleep and dreams of his plans for the future to fill his mind.

(*coughs* Might as well continue now and I'll let Ryn know. I was hoping she'd be online sooner though.)

The next morning, Haukea wakes up feeling reluctant to leave his dreams. He sighs and pulls on his cloak before standing near the bed for a few seconds to wait for the last shreds of sleep induced haze to leave his mind. After spending a few moments trying to go from looking like he'd just crawled out of bed to looking presentable, he finds Kemp and brings his guard with him while searching for Cascata.

"We should leave for Talen'sul now, but it would be quite rude to depart without another word to Mother Cascata," Haukea says to explain why they were looking for her.

[Kender Bard]

"Of course," the man says. He leads Haukea and Kemp back to the main room and explains that Cascata would be brought to them. After a few minutes, Cascata shows up, looking sleepy but otherwise fine.

"Good morning, Master Haukea," she says, fighting a yawn.
