Shadow groans. "Indeed he will. It's a shame Flash isn't here," he adds with a laugh. "He'd be more amused then irritated. Tuono takes life a little too seriously." Shadow grins at Lya and comments, "But if Tuono lecturing me is the price I pay for spending time in the pleasure of your company, my lady, then I shall pay it gladly."

"How nice of you to notice we were gone," replies Shadow dryly, but with a hint of laughter in his eyes. "My Lord, my Lady, we do require your presence when planing your wedding," Tuono comments, looking as put out as Laura. Shadow raises an eyebrow. "But you were doing such a wonderful job without us, Tuono," he counters.

"We're sorry," Laura sighs, exasperated. "But you must admit, we were doing a good job." "That you were," Lya concedes with a knowing smile. "It's a comfort to know that you're handling things, Laura. Your own wedding was very beautiful." "Yours is going to be much the same, but on a grander scale," Laura admits with a gleeful expression. "Now the question is who should we send to Maelstrom with the preparations needed?"

Tuono shrugs. "Can you think of anyone who might like to come with me?" he asks. "Normally I'd ask Flash..." "How about you ask his brother then?" Saph suggests, having come looking for Laura just in time to hear the exchange. "Good evening Lady Lya, Lord Shadow. Still hard at work I see, dearest?" The last is directed at Laura with a loving smile.

"You and Flash, so alike," chuckles Saph. "Dear, I'll be fine." Shadow frowns slightly, considering the options.
"If it were anywhere but Sparkstrike, I wouldn't allow this," he says at last. "But the people of Sparkstrike have always been peaceful and welcoming to all elementals and they are barely over the border..."
"I'll look after him, sir," adds Tuono. "And it should only take us a few days to get there, spread the word and return. And someone from the village could start spreading the word elsewhere."
"Nothing should go wrong," adds Saph, then softly he adds, "And with all due respect Lord Shadow, I do not visit my brother in Maelstorm because Flash asked me not to. However, I don't believe Flash would protest... too much... my accompanying his friend and I have commited no crime that would let you ban me from Maelstorm, nor am I one of your people to order not to go." He deliberately doesn't look at Lya, aware that he IS a citizen of Talen'sul and falls under her command had she ever asked it of him, nor does he look at his wife. Shadow nods reluctently.
"You are right, I cannot keep you from Maelstorm," he agrees. "But it may not be as safe as you believe, and I am asking you to think carefully about this." Spah merely looks determined.

"I will my lady," replies Saph seriously. "Tuono, when can you be ready to leave?" "In an hour, minimum," replies Tuono. Saph considers it a minute, then nods. "Fine, we'll leave as soon as you're ready," he tells both Tuono and Luara. With a smile for his wife Saph adds, "The sooner we leave, the sooner we'll be home."

"Very well," Laura mumbles. "But I'd advise against telling Cloud where you're going or the Forces know he'll find some way to follow you!" Getting up, she sighs and says, "I'll start getting things in order for preparations here. I can stop by the bardic guild on my way home and tell them we're going to need wedding compositions." She laughed softly and added, "They should be thrilled if I know bards."

Saph nods and kisses his wife's cheek. "I'd best get my stuff ready. I'll see you when you get home, dearest." Biding Lya and Shadow farewell, both Tuono and Saph hurry off to collect what they need for the trip. Entering his home, Saph graps his pack and starts putting in some food supplies and filling his canteen with water, all while trying to think of an excuse to explain why he's leaving to his children.
