About fifteen minutes outside the temporary camp Bremen comes accross the badger's hole. Bremen reaches for his belt and pulls out a dark brown pouch. Inside it contains blue fern leaves. Bremen pulls out two. Scouting around bremen spots a large stick. Picking up the stick Bremen wraps the small leaves around the stick using the leaves stems to hold them to the next leaf in which he used his thumb to create a slit for the stem to slide through. thus creating a chain sticking them to the stick. Lowering the tip of the stick to the entrance of the hole Bremen lifts his trident above the hole and using his power ignites the leaves on the end of the stick. Bremen blows softly but firmly into the hole blowing the light smoke into the hole.
Moments pass. Bremen stands stone still. Watching and listening Bremen finally hears the shuffling and scraping of claws on dirt. A small nose appears then a head and finally the body. Bremen slams the trident down onto the badger and lifts it out just as fast as it dropped. Useing his foot to push the badger aside Bremen re-enters his stance and begins to wait again. Not long after another nose pops out followed by the head and finally the body. Bremen again slams down the trident killing the next one just as quick as the first.
Happy with the hunt Bremen picks up the badgers and using his sword, for he has no dagger or knife, slits open the badgers at the belly and removes the guts. Bremen tosses the guts into the bush for any lucky scavenger to pass here. Bremen picks up the carcasses and walks back to camp.
When he gets back he notices Shula staring at the sky, not wanting to have to talk, Bremen left him to it while he set up a ring of stones from the ground to make a fire place. Using sticks and dried leaves from the surrounding area Bremen places everything into the ring and uses a small amount of power to ignite the fire. Useing his sword again bremen skins the two badgers before placeing them over the fire mounted on his spit he'd made years ago. It would fold up into his bag, at the time he'd felt quite proud of his achievement. Bringing out his small black pouch Bremen starts the solution to cure the hide before it started to deteriorate. Once Bremen finished He places the skins stretched tight near the fire and checks the meat.
Bremen checks to see what Shula is up to before placing some wild mint leaves into the badgers. When the meat is done Bremen slices it off the bones keeping some of the shorter flat ones to make a knife out of, the sword made it hard to get around corners when skinning the smaller game. Placing some meat on a plate made of a large leaf found on a type of fern, Bremen walks over to Shula handing the man the platter of meat, then walks back to the fire to start on his own meal, the day's events reeling in his head.
