"Ly!" Kura gasped and squirmed past Adam to go see him.

"Adam," Dreamwarp murmured and grabbed her other husband in a tight hug. "Forces, but I wasn't sure I was going to get to see you again either..."

"Ly," Kura whimpered. She took the hem of her (admittedly dirty now) sleeve and tried to carefully brush his tears away with it. Glancing back solemnly at Drake, she announced, "He's having a bad nightmare."

"Back wound?" Dreamwarp repeated, easing up on her hold on him. "What? Why? What happened while I was gone?"

Dreamwarp smiled shortly after the kiss but the expression fell like lead at his words. For a moment she stared almost blankly at Adam.

Then, delicately that meant she was controlling her temper oh so tightly, she said, "What's this about about getting Lysander back from someone?"

"Ly," Kura whispered, slipping into the embrace and hugging him back. Bending over was awkward though so she managed to scoot carefully onto the bed and curl up with him. Something tight in her relaxed. She was home and her family, if not completely sound, was together too.

"I'm not-" Dreamwarp muttered and shook her head. Who was she fooling? Of course she was angry. She was a Wrathful for a reason. But she let it go, perhaps easier than she normally would have. Wrathful is well and good but she was tired and heartsick too.

Since she couldn't hold onto Adam she leaned back into Drake a little, half-closing her eyes. "We're all in poor straights but I don't want to be stuck here. Winter will set in very, very soon. You can feel it in the air. Unless it comes slower in the south. Fuck all if I know but I don't want to take the risk and be trapped here until spring. We need to leave as soon as we can."
