Name: Phineas Carver Gender: Male Born: 964 (Age 46) Sign: Beast (Otter affinity), right forearm
Appearance: He is about 6 feet tall, and rather thin. He has thick brown hair that badly needs cut, and a full thick beard. He has dark brown eyes. He wears expensive clothes, but almost never changes or washes them. A short sword is usually tucked into his belt.
History: He was born in Ilyamen, to his mother, a Beast. His father was a merchant who had come to the city on a boat full of goods from Ronduin, and left shortly after getting his mother pregnant. 11 years later, Phineas ran away from home and stowed away on a boat, strongly suspecting that it's owner was his father.
When he was about 25, his father died, and he inherited the boat. However, after an accident caused many of the goods on the boat to go overboard, he and the crew were desperate for money and food, so they resorted to robbing another boat. Before long, they were doing this on a regular basis, and were making a decent living from it.
Location: Usually on a boat in the Great River. Normally he is around Ronduin, although he makes occasional visits to Ilyamen, to spend his "hard earned" cash and pawn various possessions.

Name: Oliver Brigg Gender: Male Born: 995 (Age 15) Signs: Removed
Appearance: Small and thin, with long blonde hair and a youthful appearance. The backs of his hands are badly scarred, and three of the fingers on his left hand no longer function. He usually wears gloves over them.
History: He was born in Naurorod and raised by his father in Maelstrom. His father, Jeremiah, was very tough on him, and constantly trained him to fight, with the hopes that he would be grow up to be a high-ranking military officer.
When he was 11, Jeremiah was killed. Oliver tried to find his way to Naurorod, since he knew he had some relatives there. However, he went in the wrong direction, and after weeks of wandering, found himself in Ilyamen. While he was there, he was kidnapped by Phineas Carver, who mistook him for a different child.
Once Phineas discovered that Oliver was actually an orphan, and therefore not good for ransom money, he almost threw him off the boat. Instead, he decided to keep him as a slave. To make sure the boy wouldn't ever try to rebel, he forcibly removed the signs from the backs of his hands with a dagger, crippling him.

Phineas's Crew
Name: Martin Murray Gender: Male Born: 960 (Age 50) Sign: Water (Top of Foot) Appearance: Graying black hair, hazel eyes, a bit short, scar on his lower lip. History: As a teenager, he worked for Phineas's father. He quickly became friends with Phineas, and was the first to suggest that they turn to a life of crime. He is very loyal to Phineas, and assumes that the loyalty is mutual.
Name: Theo Galatin Gender: Male Born: 937 (Age 73) Signs: Water (Shoulder) Appearance: White hair, leathery tan skin, dark blue eyes. In decent shape for his age, but not very strong. History: The oldest crewman on the boat, he was an old friend of Phineas's father.
Name: Ozmond Galatin Gender: Male Born: 985 (Age 25) Signs: Water x2 (Left side of chest, Right elbow) Appearance: Tall, well built, with a dark tan. Dark blue eyes, curly dark blonde hair (cut very short). History: He is Theo's grandson. Theo hated his son's wife, and took Ozmond away as a toddler. He was raised by the boat's crew.
Name: Phillip Granger Gender: Male Born: 950 (Age 60) Signs: Water (Knee) Appearance: Thin body, thinning gray hair. History: One of Phineas's father's original crew members.
Name: Jack Groves Gender: Male Born: 958 (Age 52) Signs: Water (Forehead) Appearance: Black hair, balding, thick beard, brown eyes. Lots of muscle, but also quite a bit of fat. History: One of Phineas's father's original crew members, and probably the toughest fighter on the crew.

Name: Nicholas Machter Gender: Male Born: 980 (Age 30) Sign: Earth x2 (Plant) (One above belly button, one on right wrist) Appearance: He is very muscular and tall. He has light blue eyes and brown hair that he prefers to keep short, though he tends to neglect it.
History: He was born in Autus. His parents were very devoted followers of Worg, and this definitely rubbed off on him. At a young age, he decided he wanted to perfect himself in every way, as he felt this would be the greatest way he could honor Worg. In his early teens, he left his parents' home, so he would become stronger by being independent. However, he stayed in Autus.
Ever since, he has lived alone, rarely leaving his house. He has barely spoken to his parents, let alone anyone else, besides priests. He's spent about 70% of his teen/adult life training himself physically and in the use of his element, and the rest has been spent praying, studying Worg's teachings, and studying anything else he could find. His training is very intense - at age 28, he gained a second sign through Discipline, above his bellybutton. He vows to continue improving himself until the day he dies.
